Escape from reality at the
legendary Rock Creek...
Nestled in the Sapphire Mountain range of the Montana Rocky Mountains lies
beautiful Rock Creek. Just about 3 hours from Glacier National Park to the
north, and Yellowstone National Park to the south. A tributary to the
Clark Fork River on the famous Lewis and Clark Trail, Rock Creek is a
fisherman's paradise! It boasts a bounty of WILD rainbow, cut throat,
brown, brook and bull trout. Amid the rocky bluffs and the green pastures,
the Bighorn sheep abound, and as you pass slowly through our beautiful
Rock Creek valley, be sure to watch closely for the moose, bears, and
mountain lions. The ducks and geese make their homes here, raising their
young to maturity, and as you look to the sky, the bald eagle and the hawk
keep watch over it all.
A bit about what we have to offer...
2006 brought some additions and changes to Trout Bums. We opened our small
fly shop and coffee bar, which is located in what used
to be the Trout Bum cabin (right next to our home). Along with flies, we also carry basic fly
fishing supplies. We do not sell any fishing equipment, although we do
rent fly rods for those that want to give fly fishing a try. We also have
t-shirts and hats. And of course, there's the coffee - the brewed coffee
is always free, but the espresso drinks come with a fee. |

 Are you interested in an all inclusive vacation package, where all you
have to do is show up? Meals can be provided at
Ekstrom's Stage Station,
our wonderful local restaurant that specializes in home style cooking - or
your own private chef (depending on the package you choose and group
size). You'll need to rent a car to get here, but once you arrive, the
details of your visit will be taken care of by us. Talk to us about your
needs, and we'll come up with a package to fit.
Of course, we still offer our cabins by themselves for those who want to
do their own cooking, and adventure planning. Most of our beautiful, fully
contained cabins are within easy walking distance to Rock Creek.
Each of these rental cabins are owned by different people that have chosen
to have Trout Bums as their property manager. Each cabin is available for
rent by the day (4 night minimum) or by the week. The prices vary by cabin
with each having a maximum occupancy listed.

To rent any of the properties we have available, reservations are
recommended, along with a 50% deposit to confirm your reservation. Your
personal check will always be accepted, along with cash, American Express,
MasterCard or Visa - weekly discounts are available.
As the night falls, and you are sitting on the porch of your Montana
cabin, you will marvel at the fact that the only things you can hear are
the sounds of Rock Creek, the chirp of the crickets, the croak of the
frogs, and the hoot of an owl. With stars so bright, and a sky so big, it
is hard to imagine that it could ever get any better than this.
