Cabin Directions and
Information...
Rock Creek is located off I-90 exit 126, whether you're coming from the
east or the west, this is the exit you'll want to take.
If you're coming from the Missoula Airport, turn right (east) onto Hwy 93.
About a mile down the road, there will be a sign to turn left and go to
I-90, take this turn. When you get to I-90, you will want to head east, so
turn right onto the highway. Continue on I-90 until you see the Van Buren
exit, take this and turn right onto Van Buren. Get into the center lane;
go through the light (at Van Buren and Broadway). You will see an
Albertson's grocery store and shopping center; this is an easy place to
get your supplies. Across the street (Broadway) you'll see a fly-shop
called Kingfisher; you can stop there to get your fishing license.
To head to Rock Creek, get back on I-90 via Van Buren, heading east. You
will go about 15 miles and will see the town of Clinton. There is a small
grocery store and gas station there (for further information); continue on
past Clinton about 6 miles and you'll see the Rock Creek exit (126). Take
that exit and turn right (south). If you're coming from the east, you will
turn left and cross the overpass. About 1 mile up the road on your right
will be the Rock Creek Fisherman's Mercantile (fly-shop), and just beyond
that will be Ekstrom's Stage Station (restaurant). Ekstrom's also has a
coin op laundry facility.
Trout Bums office is located at 824 Rock Creek Road (8 1/2 miles South of
I-90). When you pull in the driveway, you will notice 3 buildings - the
office is the one in the middle. Stop by to check in, and make your final
payment. We have a selection of flies, t-shirts and hats, an espresso
coffee bar, and a few gift items. Our REGULAR office hours are 8 am - 5:30
pm, Monday - Saturday. If you are arriving after 5:30 PM, please call and
we will unlock your cabin; you can then check in and make your final
payment the following morning. Our phone rings at the office, as well as
my home office 406/825-6146; you can reach us at any time (please, no
calls after 9:30 pm or before 7 am Mountain time). THERE IS NO
CELL PHONE COVERAGE AT ROCK CREEK BEYOND MILE 5, so don't count on that for your communication.
CABIN IN THE WOODS To get to Cabin in the Woods, from our office,
you'll need to backtrack on Rock Creek Road for just about 2 miles until
you get to the woods just before the Solomon Fishing Access and the 6 mile
marker. You'll notice the mailbox on your left - address is 11 River Rock
Lane, and the name on the box is "Menson". You will also notice my green
Trout Bums sign on the fence post. Take that turn, and go down the lane -
your cabin is the one on the left, just beyond the garage. The owner's

BARB-less HOOK To get to the Barb-less Hook from the office, you
will need to backtrack on Rock Creek Road for about 1 mile. Almost
directly across from the 7 mile marker is your destination - address is
734 Rock Creek Road. You will also notice my green Trout Bums sign on the
fence post. Take that right turn, and go down the lane - you've made it
to The Barb-less Hook! Phone: 406/825-3666
TROUTHAUS To get to Trouthaus from the Trout Bums office, backtrack
just a short distance to Sawmill Fishing Access Road; just South of the 8
mile marker. Turn left, and go until the
road forks 3 ways. There will be a cabin at the top of the hill (the
middle fork), take the right fork. Trouthaus is the first cabin on your

GOLDEN STONE To get to the Golden Stone from Trout Bums office,
backtrack just a short distance to Sawmill Fishing Access Road; just South
of the 8 mile marker. Turn left and go until
the road forks 3 ways. There will be a cabin at the top of the hill
(the middle fork) turn left, and go down the hill; just before the bend in
the road will be the driveway (on the right) take that turn - there are 2
homes that share this driveway, Golden Stone is on the left and has my

RIVERSTONE To get to the Riverstone, from Trout Bums office,
backtrack just a short distance to Sawmill Fishing Access Road; just South
of the 8 mile marker. Turn left and go until
the road forks 3 ways. There will be a cabin at the top of the hill (the
middle fork) turn left, and go down the hill; the road will make a
couple bends, after the second bend you will see a log home constructed of
huge logs on your right - that is Riverstone! Phone: 406/825-3368
CAMP BIG BEAR To get to Camp Big Bear, you will drive approximately
1 miles south from Trout Bums. You will turn left on Brewster Creek Road;
drive approximately 1/4 mile from this intersection. You'll see a couple
older trailers on your left; the driveway is just beyond them. In fact, it
looks like you're turning into their driveway. Go across the bridge and
you're there! The green Trout Bums sign is mounted on the cabin. Phone:

RANCH CREEK RANCH To get to Ranch Creek Ranch, you will drive
approximately 3 miles south from Trout Bums. Watch for the 11 mile marker
- you will turn in the next driveway on your right. You'll see the green
Trout Bum sign on the gatepost, and 1131 on the mail box. drive down the
hill, and you've made it to RCR. Phone: 406/825-4477
ROCK CREEK MEADOWS To get to Rock Creek Meadows, you will drive
approximately 4 miles south from Trout Bums. After you cross the little
bridge that takes you across Ranch Creek, on your right you will see a
black mailbox with 2 jumping fish - the address on it is 1181, and the
name is Childers. At this point, you are almost to the 12 mile marker - if
you go past the end of the pavement, you have gone too far. Turn down the
driveway and be aware that it's long, approximately 1/4 mile. You'll go
through the gate about halfway down the drive; after you pass through the
gate you'll see 2 homes; the one on the right with the pond is Rock Creek
